Jan. 25, 2013 – Jason Waddleton, owner of Scottish restaurant The Haven in Jamaica Plain, cuts into a haggis while reciting Robert Burns’s poem “Address to a Haggis” during a traditional Burns supper celebration. A Burns supper is a celebration of Burns’s life, held on or around his birthday (January 25th), which includes bagpiping; toasts; and a meal of haggis, mashed potatoes (“tatties”), and mashed turnips (“neeps”).
