Welcome to the Oktoberfest high point weekend! We have three ACTUAL German fest beers on draft for you: Weihenstephaner Fest Bier, Schilling Marzen and East Rock Oktoberfest.
We also have the best patio in JP, live music tonight (Friday) from 7 PM, and house brats on the menu! We’re expecting beautiful weather all weekend as well, and Friday and Saturday see JP Open Studios!
In addition to FREE LIVE MUSIC on Friday night from Almost Olive, two Scottish classics and Haven favorites return to our menu THIS WEEKEND: Cullen Skink and the (in)famous Haggis! We’ll also have our featured Beef Pie on offer. We have some beautiful drams and some crisp German beers on offer as pairings to round out the Oktoberfest weekend!
Cullen Skink: Warm up with a bowl of Cullen Skink, a traditional Scottish chowder made with delicate smoked haddock, creamy potatoes, and onions. Rich, hearty, and infused with a hint of smoky flavor, this classic dish is the perfect comfort food to transport you straight to the Scottish Highlands!
Haggis: Get a taste of Scotland’s most iconic dish—haggis! Traditionally made with savory minced meats, oats, and spices, haggis has a unique, earthy flavor that’s rich and comforting. Often enjoyed with “neeps and tatties” (turnips and potatoes) and a dram of whisky, it’s a celebration of heritage and a must-try for any food adventurer!
Beef Pie: A hearty and comforting dish featuring tender, slow-cooked beef simmered in a rich, savory gravy made with a hint of ale, caramelized onions, and a blend of traditional Scottish herbs. Encased in a buttery, flaky pastry crust and baked to golden perfection. Served warm with a side of marrow gravy, this pie is a timeless taste of Scotland.
