Jamie Morrison—Global Brand Ambassador, The Glenturret—pays The Haven a visit on Thursday, May 4th to guide us through an incredible set of six whiskies and offer a Q&A with attendees and Haven owner/operator Jason Waddleton. Admission includes tasting and a coupon for Blanchard’s to help you stock your home whisky bar!
The Glenturret’s Triple Wood 2022 just won a Double Gold Medal and ranked above all other Scotch whiskies at the 2023 International Wines and Spirits Competition which included over 4,000 spirit entries. [Learn more about that here.]
Jamie is from Falkirk, studied at Stirling University and started working at The Glenturret in 2015 as a tour guide. He fell in love with the distillery, its processes, the history and romanticism of whisky. Jamie stepped into duty management quite quickly and ultimately became the assistant visitor center manager where he found he loved interacting with people and passionately talking about the brand and its history. For him, whisky is a love of the stories, the nuance, the intricacy & equal simplicity of 3 key ingredients. He’s very passionate about whisky and everything about it, from the celebratory nature of raising a dram to its interwoven history throughout the world. When the business was expanding, he jumped at the chance to apply for his current role as global brand ambassador. Now you can usually find him either in the market with a suitcase of Glenturret whisky or hosting VIP visitors at the distillery. Either way he continues to educate and engage all audiences in all things The Glenturret.
