Whisky Wednesday at the Casks: 6 – 7 PM

Stop by and meet us at the casks TONIGHT from 6-7pm for a second Whisky Wednesday and some casual imbibing (read: a free whisky tasting). 

This week, we’ll offer you a comparison tasting of two of our favorite young whiskies that really shine. Choose your favorite—but we think you’ll love them both!

Womens World Cup Watch Party: 9 PM

After a plucky Vietnamese showing in the first game it is already crunch time for the USWNT as they take on the Netherlands (2018 European Champions). The winner of this tie will likely top the group and have a more favourable pathway, so it’s a vital game! 

Join us at The Haven and show your support for the USWNT and their quest for THREE IN A ROW! Come early for a seat in The Assembly Room. The game will be on throughout the restaurant with sound, so no need to worry. The Haven – the home for soccer in JP.

With an impressive portfolio of Scotch (and beyond) ImpEx are firmly established as “a one to follow” when it comes to having an outstanding portfolio of Scotch offerings. If they were a record label, they might be 4AD or Creation at the turn of the 90’s.

From Islay farm distillery Kilchoman to the new boys on the block Raasay you can rest assure that the Whisky on offer will be exciting, ground breaking and expressive.

Join Haven owner Jason Waddleton and ImpEx’s very own Casey O’Donnell for an evening spent in the company of Kilchoman, Raasay, Filey Bay, Indri and GlenAllachie.

We’ll be discussing what it takes to launch a Whisky in today’s market as well as how to stand out from the crowd.

Elias Alexander is a producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose work weaves together traditional music, electronic production and songwriting around themes of belonging, connectedness and liberation. You may know Elias as the incredible talent who has been part of our Burns Supper program for many years now, bringing bagpipes, fiddle, poetry, song and ENERGY to every evening.

Elias will be LIVE at The Haven on Thursday, June 1st at 8 PM!

The Pipes will blast and the fiddle will squeal, drams will be drunk and songs will be sung. Join us for a night in the old Scottish ceilidh tradition, including a variety of performances and some called participatory dances. The evening will feature a combination of acoustic and electronic performance.
