St Patrick’s Day Weekend
In honour of our FAVOURITE SCOTTISH PATRON SAINT we have FIVE GREAT REASONS TO STOP BY THE HAVEN THIS ST PATRICK’S DAY WEEKEND…..
LIVE MUSIC – Friday night – PETITE FEET a Ragtime Band inspired by Irish composer Scott Joplin, w/ Piano, Sax and Drums. 9pm/Free
BEER – We sourced Kindred Spirit a sexy mix of Scottish Stout aged in Irish Whiskey!
WHISKEY – The Haven’s Dram night on both Friday and Saturday is an Irish v Scotch whisk(e)y face off. Join us for our ever popular Dram tasting at 9-10pm
SCRAN/GRUB – Sam has his classic Corned Beef available for your delectation.
RUGBY – We are showing the tape dealy NOON Wales v Ireland Grand Slam decider. (No Phones Allowed!!- this is OLD SCHOOL)
New Scotch Line Up 19′
Happy New Year and a Happy New Scotch Lineup!
This season we showcase some lovely malts from lesser known distilleries and independent bottlers.
Let’s start off with a few Campbeltown Single Malts –
Hazelburn is featured with a new 10 year old version.
Glengyle’s Kilkerran 8yr old is a cask strength intense delight.
Springbank is now featured with a 12 year old also at cask strength.
Try them and then see the difference with a splash of water.
We have three Single Cask Gems for you:
We’ve added independent bottler Maltman’s 21 yr Speyside sherry cask gem from the Glen Keith distillery.
From the Eastern Highlands, and 8 miles from Stonehaven, is a 12 year Fettercairn cask strength. Delicious, decadent yet quite delicate. We have 4 of only 302 bottles.
Another Maltman Mortlach 15 year old Bourbon cask rounds out the Single Casks and the new Scotches for the New Year, so come on in and join us in a toast to a great New Year!
